About This Place

Nestled conveniently on E Tropicana Ave, Las Famosas stands out as a must-visit Mexican restaurant in Las Vegas, delivering an authentic and flavorful culinary experience that captures the heart of traditional Mexican comfort food. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a cozy atmosphere where friendly, attentive staff make you feel right at home—perfect for both casual lunches and satisfying dinners.

The menu is a vibrant celebration of Mexican favorites, designed to satisfy any craving. Their burritos deserve special mention, especially the Carne Asada Burrito Gigante Filimon, a gargantuan wrap overflowing with tender, perfectly seasoned steak, offering a rich explosion of flavors in every bite. If breakfast is your choice, the Huevos a la Mexicana is a standout dish—lightly scrambled eggs mingled with diced tomatoes, jalapeños, and onions, served alongside traditional refried beans and Mexican rice for a hearty and comforting start to the day.

For those seeking a more traditional street food experience, the Street Tacos and Tripas Tacos embody genuine Mexican street fare, featuring fresh, hand-pressed tortillas and robustly marinated meats that explode with smoky, savory depth. Don’t miss their signature Carne Asada Fries, where golden, crispy fries are lavishly topped with shredded carne asada, melted cheese, and an array of fresh salsas—each bite a perfect blend of crunchy, savory, and spicy.

Las Famosas’ Pozole and the expertly crafted Chilaquiles Verdes and Rojos bring warm, soul-soothing options that channel authentic Mexican home-cooking. The chilaquiles dish, simmered in vibrant broth sauces and topped with creamy sour cream, tangy cheese, onions, and fresh cilantro, strikes an ideal balance between comfort and zest.

What truly sets Las Famosas apart is not only the food’s authenticity and generous portions but also the lively and creative vibe—evident in the fun table graphics and welcoming service. Customer feedback consistently highlights the excellence of their tacos, particularly the Al Pastor and fish tacos, describing them as “top notch” and “legit,” while noting the horchata as a refreshing complement rarely matched at other local spots.

While some guests note that certain items like the tortas might look smaller than expected, the consensus remains that the bold flavors, made-to-order meals, and genuine hospitality make every visit worthwhile. Whether enjoying a quick drive-thru stop or settling in for a flavorful meal, Las Famosas delivers solid value, memorable flavors, and a true taste of Mexican culture right in the heart of Las Vegas.

For anyone hungry for authentic Mexican cuisine that balances freshness, tradition, and a friendly environment, Las Famosas is a delightful find you’ll want to return to again and again.

I was expecting more for the Tortas. NOT bad but the pictures look bigger and better. Taste was average. Prices are decent $10-15. Now, the horcahat is so good like this place got it right. Many other places miss the horchata - not here

I did the drive thru. This place isn't cheap. $32.50 for 2 Taco plates. However, best I have found in Vegas. Skip the chicken, everything else is awesome!!
